Alpha Course
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. It’s a space where people can ask questions, share thoughts, and learn in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Whether you’re curious about Christianity or simply want to deepen your understanding, Alpha offers a fresh perspective on life’s big questions.
Why join? Alpha is more than just a course—it’s a community. It’s a place to connect with others on a similar journey, explore faith at your own pace, and engage in meaningful discussions. If you’ve ever wondered about the purpose of life, the existence of God, or how faith impacts everyday living, Alpha is for you.
Interested in joining? If we gather enough interest, we’ll kick off an Alpha course where you can explore these topics in a welcoming and open environment. Register your interest today, and we’ll keep you posted on the details!
If you have any questions about Alpha, please reach out to us at alpha@claytonchurch.org.au
Playgroup
A place of belonging, support and encouragement for parents with toddlers
Our church-supported Playgroup caters specially for the needs of families and children aged 0-4 years old. Our multicultural community provides a welcoming, safe and structured environment where children are encouraged to learn through interaction and play (eg. social skills, gross and fine motor skills and other general development). Parents, particularly first-time mothers or fathers, can receive support for the challenges parenthood brings, and also connect with other families and resources in the community. Our daily programs follow this structure: free play, a craft activity, morning tea, music time and story time. While children are busy playing, parents can relax and connect with other parents over a cup of tea or coffee.
Playgroup runs during school term on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9.30 am to 11.30 am at Clayton Church.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about our Playgroup program, please reach out to us at hello@claytonchurch.org.au
English Encounter Learning
Equipping you with the confidence to speak English, build friendships and call this country home
Our Encounter English Learning program has been running for more than 10 years. Our team of experienced volunteers are passionate about wanting to see newcomers to Australia build English language skills, connect with others and settle well in Australia. Our program covers all the basics of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, as well as teaching about Australian culture, customs and practical everyday life requirements with some Christian teaching.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about our Encounter English Learning program, please reach out to us at encounter@claytonchurch.org.au
As you prepare for the year ahead, seek the Lord and ask Him for how He wants you to be a part of ‘More Than Able’ and join Team Clayton as a volunteer.
