Carmen Wong

Children & Families Ministry Director

Carmen is our Children and Families Ministry Director. She oversees the ministry to preschool and primary school-aged children in partnership with their families. Together with a strong and amazing team, her goal is to help children know their identity as God’s children, experience a loving community, and live out their faith with boldness and joy.

Carmen’s journey in Next Gen ministry began in high school, and she has dedicated 20 years as a primary school teacher. She is excited to partner with families at Clayton Church to raise the next generation of world changers.

In addition to her teaching degree, Carmen has explored theology and enjoys learning about the unique ways God has shaped people’s personalities. Her favourite activities include worship, cooking, and crafting, which she joyfully incorporates into her ministry.

Carmen is married to Tim, and together they have two beautiful daughters and a miniature schnauzer who is a loud but affectionate guard dog.
